Biografi           :

Shawn Mendes  adalah anak dari pasangan Karen, seorang agen real estate, dan Manuel Mendes, seorang pengusaha. Ayahnya keturunan Portugis (keluarga dari Lagos), sementara ibunya keturunan Inggris. Ia memposting video cover lagu pertamanya di Vine pada 2013 dan mendulang jutaan penonton dan follower hanya dalam beberapa bulan, dan menjadi terkenal karena video enam detiknya meng-cover lagu dari beberapa lagu terkenal. Dan saat itulah Manajer artis Andrew Gertler menemukan Mendes secara online pada Januari 2014, dan mengajaknya ke Island Records dimana dia membuat kontrak dan merilis single pertamanya "Life of the Party" pada Juni 2014.
